Be gentle with me, it's my first time!

Welcome to my new blog!
This is a scary experience. I am a reader not a writer, sound the line from a film ( I am a lover not a fighter) Anyway I am rambling already and I am only two sentences in.
I have always enjoyed reading and I don't know if I am odd in that I can read anything. I can go to the library and come out with a sci-fi novel, a book on cats and a romance novel. Yes I am a nerd. 
So why I have  I started a blog. Well as I read A LOT I often talk to my friends about the books I have read, books I want to read etc., yes I bore them, but it's better than talking about Eastenders!! Friends often say, 'that sounds like a great book you must email me the link.' or 'so what was so special about it?' This got me thinking - would authors like to know what I think of their books, shoud I be submitting reviews to the sites I get the books from to show my appreciation and wouldn't it be great to compile a list of the books I have read. I really should get out more if this is all I have to think about. And that my book loving friends is how we arrive here at the first page of my blog. Although I am a book nerd I am not a computer geek so this will be a challenge, but hey maybe there is a book on how to set up a book blog!!
I will pick some of my favourite books and some I have recently read get the pages started, but after that I am open for offers, if you want your book reviewed send me a copy, if you share book news contact me.
